一个人要学会隐藏
不要故意引起别人的注意
如果别人发现你在故意引起别人的注意
你的才华就会变成缺点
你也不免被冷落一旁
被认为是一个古怪的人
你即使过分修饰自己的美貌
也会有损你的名誉
炫目的美会令人不快
声名狼藉的古怪也会让人反感
有些人希望通过恶行来达到臭名昭著的目的
于是想方设法使自己名誉扫地
即使在谈论学问时
谈的过多也不免卖弄之嫌
很多人之所以因胜而败
其根本原因就是得意忘形
不知收敛
不懂得隐藏自己的优势
傲慢给人来带许多危害
谦卑给人带来更多的恩惠

过犹不及，语出《论语·先进》：“子贡问：师与商也孰贤？子曰：师也过，商也不及。曰：然则师愈与？子曰：过犹不及。”过：过分；犹：象；不及：达不到。事情做得过头，就跟做得不够一样，都是不合适的。
交往中过分的热情与冷漠的对待一样会使心灵窒息。传播中过分的渲染与毫不声张一样会无甚收效。教育中过分的严格与任其放任一样会使孩子叛逆迷失。管理中过分的民主与专制一样会没有进步……

好的书籍犹如那纯洁高尚的少女。她不会把自己的心奉献给追求她的每一个人。她会有意回避人群中冷淡无情的目光，只有在爱情的烈火中，才逐渐摒弃自己天赋的执拗与矜持；只有在坚贞不渝和有献身精神的忠实情侣面前，才吐露自己的衷肠；也只有当自己的情人通过了水和火的种种严峻考验之后，才把自己完整地献给他。

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, ‘How was the trip?’
It was great, Dad.’
Did you see how poor people live?’ the father asked.
Oh yeah,’ said the son.
So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?’ asked the father.
The son answered: ‘I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.’
The boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added, ‘Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.’
Isn’t perspective an interesting thing?
